this outfit is brought to you by the color green and the j.crew factory store. :) head to toe. i love shopping the outlet because you can get the classic j.crew pieces at a much more affordable cost. and how about this purse my mother-in-law let me borrow for the day? #youshouldseehercloset ...so great for spring!
and i apologize for my absence the past month, life has happened and the blog took a back seat for a bit. but i'm back! thanks again for reading.

this little guy...
his name is edward (i name everything...it's kinda my thing) and he's one of 3 adorable little brass animals from target's home decor line, threshold. he currently resides on my desk as an accessory, keepin my books company, but i'm thinking he would make a great ring holder... both pretty & practical! what do you think?

we traveled home to cali this holiday weekend to surprise family and spring was in the air. here's a peek at my easter sunday outfit. // i decided to choose bold
c o l o r over soft pastels // so i went with this almost obnoxiously bright yellow shirt. isn't it awesome?! i'm also a little obsessed with the flowy whimsicality of this mullet maxi skirt. soo comfy and the olive shade helped tone down the top. the belt brought another element of color to the party and the statement necklace added interest to the simplicity of the tee.
you may have also noticed a new piece of pop in my look... i got blunt bangs! #imean. if you've been on the fence about trying this hair trend, (and don't mind stuff hanging in your eyes), then do it! they take a bit more maintenance, but what a fresh fun way to switch up your hair for the season without going drastic. l o v e.
He is still risen!
i have blotted out your transgressions like a c l o u d and your sins like a mist;
return to me, for i have redeemed you. // isaiah 44:22
celebrating this weekend what a wonderful SAVIOR i have in Jesus. He is risen indeed!
it's pattern play day on a bit of pop! polka dots & flowers are today's suspects... an unlikely pair brought together by a few neutral friends working together to create one springtastic look.
this outfit was perfect for spending a day sightseeing around town with my family. the tennies provided some extra comfort as we further explored the beautiful PNW and the chambray (my current layering obsession) helped create a little warmth and balance between the two patterns.
my bit of pop was this 3 stone bubble necklace which brought out the coral tone in the pants. don't forget you can get this necklace and other styles for 15% off at caroline g. by entering the code "ERIN" at checkout.
try getting your spring on this week by pairing floral with another pattern...polka dots, checks, stripes, etc. pick one that fits you and your style!

if you're looking for an easy & affordable way to bring a pop of spring into your home, then new throw pillows are a great way to go! mix and match colors, patterns, shapes, and sizes; pair a geometric with a floral print or a texture and a metallic, anything goes! they are so comfortable & inviting and can easily be switched out as seasons/styles change.
in my case, i have the ugliest couch known to man, so the more pillows i can use to cover it up, the better. ;) i recently purchased a few from homegoods and it's amazing how just a little color can bring a whole new look and fresh personality to your space.
have a happy weekend everyone. thx for reading.
i've been eyeing these sky high wedges at target for weeks and they just went on sale! now, they are mine... #evillaugh ;)
wedges are a great statement piece for spring. pair them with a neutral outfit so they really stand out. i added a coordinated pop in the necklace and some texture with torn jeans. this is a perfect friday outfit -- polished for the office, yet happy hour approved.
cheers to spring!
how stinkin adorable are these little baskets?? they are so spring! not only are the colors gorgeous, but they can be used for so many different things. -- in the kitchen to hold fruit/berries, cloves of garlic, or easter candy. use them as a colander or stack multiple for decoration. mix a few colors in a baby's room to hold cotton balls, q-tips, lotions. my dear friend has one on her night stand to hold her hair ties... brilliant! they are so fresh, functional, and natural looking, adding a great pop of color to whatever room they end up in. as i write this, i've officially convinced myself to go get more. i know what i'm doing this weekend, hah!
what's your favorite color, and how would you use them?

why hello mr. sun, you came out to play. this past weekend we had a day of not one rain cloud in the sky, so we took full advantage and spent the majority of it outside. it is still in the 40's, so a scarf was a must, but there's something about that sun that makes me think it's 80 degrees, i'm lying on the beach in my 2 piece... and then i warm right up. ;)
this grey sweater is possibly the most comfortable thing i own. it's simple, yet has personality with the asymmetrical draping. wearing it made me want to twirl, so twirl i did. note to self: twirling on train tracks is dangerous. :|
i added a pop with this beautiful stella & dot pendant. it breaks up the grey by adding another layer of interest, along with the floral scarf, which is a great spring transition piece. 7 more days til we kiss winter goodbye!
have a happy wednesday.
belts are a great way to add a 'bit of pop' to your outfit and tie a look together. this tri colored mini belt from target is only $16.99 and is my new favorite almost spring accessory. :) i love the hint of color blocking with vibrant orange, gold, and a touch of navy.
wear it with a basic white v neck, tucked into your favorite jeans, with navy flats or neutral wedges, a perfect spring transition look! or, since it's still freezing up here in the PNW, throw on a cardigan and wear the belt over it, cinched a little higher than your natural waist line.
what fabulous skinny belt will you pop into your outfit this weekend?!
